Why Become a Member?
JPCA is the largest organization of elected officials in Texas with a membership of more than 2,100. The Justices of the Peace and Constables Association of Texas, Inc. proudly represents the interests of the men and women who are on the front lines of the justice system. JPCA has several core missions:
Justices of the Peace and Constables Association creates a robust curriculum of continuing civil and criminal legal education through the Texas Justice Court Training Center, an educational partnership between JPCA and Texas State University.
JPCA vigorously advocates for its members' interests before the Texas Legislature. We monitor studies on relevant issues, tesitfy in committee hearings, and work with lawmakers on bills affecting our members and their duties. We continually strive to enhance the integrity of the offices of the Justice of the Peace and Constable, preserve their positions as elected public officials, and strengthen their community ties.
Justices of the Peace and Constables are the most accessible government authority to the average citizen. Much like Justices of the Peace and Constables protect and serve their community, JPCA also wants to serve its members through fellowship, scholarships, and networking opportunities.
